Been missing Australia a lot recently. Probably because I know that my parents are visiting both my sisters and their respective families in Cairns at the moment, plus there is all the excitement of little Larni coming into the world too. I must have spent quite a bit on phone-calls lately. I call from my cell phone while I'm in the traffic driving to work! They are 8 hours ahead, so it's perfect timing! Alan who is a pilot and living in Dubai at the moment just said to me today that he loves Australia, and wonders why I ever left! Hm, a little Aussie homesickness creeping in me thinks.
What I miss about Australia...
*Vegemite on my toast
*Daylight savings in summer
*24 hour supermarkets
*The beach only 20 mins drive from home
*My two sisters
*My best friends Renee, Jodie and Claire
*Kellogs Sustain cereal!
*My parents
*Bakeries
and, and, and...

It's tough when your family is a continent away, but I bet if you had to go back you'd soon have an enormous list of what you missed about SA...
...and we're here too! i know I wouldn't be able to move and leave my family behind.

Aahhh, you poor thing, i can see that you are family sick!! The best thing to do is to go for a visit if at all possible. My mom died 8 years ago, and i never went more than 2 weeks without seeing her, although we didn't live in the same town, and today, all i can say, is visit as often as you can!!!
take care and visit me again!
